EMERGENCY SHELTER & TRANSPORTATION TO THE SHELTER When local shelters are full or otherwise unable to provide services, CHC counselors can help you think through your shelter options, including friends and family as well as shelters in other areas. It is also possible to receive a pre-paid bus ticket to a place of shelter outside of Centre County. Restrictions apply. The emergency shelters in Centre County are the Centre House shelter, the Women’s Resource Center shelter, and the Burrowes Street Youth Haven.
